Overview
Coexisting with the dazzle of royal of Jodhpur is a pristine and pared-down world of its rural landscape that illuminates the simplicity of a life lived out in small village settlements on the desert frontier.
This ancient desert outpost, long subjected to extreme temperatures and very little rainfall, Marwar has the largest arid zone population in the world. The arid swathe of scrubland with a few trees is the setting of the traditional mud homes set in small but clean compounds in the villages here. Guests are invited into these homes to experience the lifestyle of the simple inhabitants of these isolated village communities. It is a rare privilege indeed to be invited into their homes and hearts.
