This is a modern museum which offers  a wonderful showcase of the art, science and history of photography. You will discover here cameras of great antiquity from over 100  countries; browse over the display of photographic equipment from down the ages ; there are historical archives, the works of legends as well as cutting edge contemporary lens-based art. The mission behind the centre was to make Museo Camera symbol of excellence and  for it to emerge as a place for learning and showcasing contemporary photography including providing a platform for emerging and established artists from various genres of photography, and to establish it as a celebration of photography and its evolution as an art form and a medium of human expression. The tour offers a wonder opportunity to eexperience the history and evolution of photography with a connoisseur.

What you will experience

We will meet at the Museo Camera, an eclectic museum of photography and after having a cup of chai, we will have a look at collection of vintage cameras and unravel stories behind some of the most iconic ones. We will also understand the transitions photography has gone through over the past 170 years. We’ll finish off with understanding how a salt print is created, a vintage historic process from 1850’s. You will take home a salt print of an image and stories to impress others.
