What you will experience

This walking tour is specially designed to explore the morning life of the city when it wakes up and prepares itself for rest of the day. Visit one of the famous temples of Jaipur and take part in the prayerful chanting ritual which is intrinsic to temple customs. We will explore the rousing scene at a vibrant vegetable, fruit and flower market as vendors and consumers play out the morning drama of bargaining and quick banter. The milk market too offers some interesting aspects of the city’s morning pursuits; you will discover here the traditional method of door to door delivery of milk to Jaipur’s citizenry which still prefers the old ways, rather than buys milk from the supermarket.

With your appetite nicely primed up, you’ll be more than ready to tuck into the popular breakfast of the city – samosa and kachori with masala chai (tea) and see, first-hand how they prepare it for you fresh and piping hot. We now head for government school on weekdays and spend time with the children, to get an insight into the academic pursuits of the city’s students.
